![]() ![]() Thus, my version of DeltaCAD can’t accurately measure 1/32" (0.03125) which, is an issue for me concerning some of my DeltaCAD Projects. It then launches and plays the changed video file with the VLC media player.I have been using DeltaCAD for my Computer Aided Drafting Projects for about 10+ years now.Īs my Default Page Setup for my DeltaCAD Drawings, I have created a “Grid Page” Layer and, I use the “Snap To Grid” Option for all of my DeltaCAD Projects.ĭepending upon the Project, I use 8-1/2"x11" (Letter) Paper or, 8-1/2"x14" (Legal) Paper and, the Grid Setting is either “0.1000” or “0.1250” (my version of DeltaCAD doesn’t do #.# or #.# Grid Detail). It then places a new blank Deltacad file into the Folder having files being renamed. In effect Steps 1 thru 7 accomplishes nothing.Īdditionally, if I repeat the process in a folder containing nothing but “MP4 Video Files (VLC)” in the “Type” category” and run the “Group by” process it still continues to resort the names alphabetically. The “File name” category once again automatically reorganizes the in alphabetical order. Again click the down arrow to access the “Group by” pull down menuĪfter manually changing the “File name” and clicking “Enter”. Clicking the “Date created” category or any other category except the “Name” category.Ħ. ![]() Click the down arrow to access the “Group by” pull down menu.ĥ. Navigate to the folder containing the files to be renamed.Ĥ. The “group by” procedure found online is”Ģ. Using the “group by” has been found to be completely incapable of working. The question I am asking is how can the alphabetically reorganizing be stop? TnxSet it to sort by a date.Īfter many failed attempts to disable the file explorer, automatic grouping of file names in alphabetical order suggested, the work around suggested fails miserably. The question I am asking is how can the alphabetically reorganizing be stop? Tnx For the macro to work as intended the file on line 1 needs to remaking on line 1 after the macro renaming. The solution would have to be too stop the automatic re-alphabetical action while the macro is in use, then turn it back on after the macro is finished and at the3 users description. Instead the new line that contains Washington George becomes Washington Washington George. The second renaming in the macro sequential changing cannot move to highlight line 2. In effect the macros first renaming of George to Washington George. With the automatic alphabetical sorting prevents using sequential adding of changes. Subsequently the highlighting is moved to the new line containing the changed file name. Additionally making a change to the title on line 1, line 1 must be high lighted to perform the change. If the file is changed to George Washington the file ends being moved to somewhere else in the lists. The file Washington George moves to a line or near a line at the end of the displayed lists. The file explorer will rearrange the files alphabetically again. If line one of the explorer contains a the title George and you add the name Washington before George. When changing and remaking a file, you press Enter and the file explorer rearranges the new order again. As you probably know the file explorer default is to automatically place all files in alphabetical order. The problem is using it in the unstable and unpredictable file explorer. "It can change the order in which they are displayed but that's all." Yes I know and that's the exact issue. The question becomes is file order locking ever been possible? If so how is this done? Version 3 Build 18363. Another posting stated that Microsoft had eliminated locking folders now. I found one posting that indicated that the file explorer can be locked to prevent reorganizing of folders, but not the files themselves. Therefore I would like to be able to lock the order of the files before running the macro.Īt this writing I have been unable to find out how the file explorer order can be prevented from automatically reorganizing the files. The end result is that the files end up being in a disorderly mislabeled fashion, a chaotic mess. ![]() The macro unfortunately gets obstructed by the file explorer periodically reorganizing the order of the files. I'm finding that the macro can easily do this. To do this I have created a third party macro to consecutively make changes to the category (ie, title) of each of the files. I wish to modify the files by changing them by the categories displayed in the W10 file explorer. My goal is to organize the files in groups to aid in collating them. I have a very large number of previously recovered files.
